Mission Statement

Our mission at HealthLine is to provide our customers with top of the line brand name products. Healthline will only carry products that are durable enough to with stand the hard use put on commercial Fitness equipment. These products must come from companies who are the most reputable in the industry and will support us to provide our customers with the quality, service, and parts which are expected in remanufactured equipment.

Our Philosophy

Over the past thirty years our industry has steadily increased as a result of opening mainly brand new fitness facilities around the world. At this point we have somewhat hit a new threshold., Saturation! When saying this, this does not mean we are not still growing but that we are seeing growth in a different way. Now those new facilities are fewer and the older facilities are becoming the bigger entity from a purchasing stand point. They are remodeling or expanding , maybe moving into a much larger building discarding the old. Well in these cases we as an industry have a whole new set of dilemmas we need to deal with whether you are the manufacture or whether you are the end user who needs to remove your old product to replace it with new. It is a serious situation that must be dealt with. Where do we start, actually we have but how well as an industry have we dealt with it. With no real entity to follow or rules to go by because we are such a new and young industry we have just bumped along in the dark and the problem will continue to grow doubling every year as these old facilities get older and the equipment continues to stock pile. Somebody needs to take action and resolve this new part of our industry. What to do with all of this old equipment.

HealthLine stepped forward in 1992 and saw the vision and what could happen. There is no book to follow or history to go by, this is a new issue. We at healthline moved away from all other aspects of our industry to focus on this issue. We are devoted to educating the manufacture as well as you the fitness center owner on what to do with this problem. Residual values need to be set on this product so the manufacture can take it in as a trade. They need to know what can be resold and what can't before they take that trade-ins. The really is the manufactures responsibility to take care of the end user so that they may buy again. Who can the manufacture trust in to help them with this issue because so many refurbishers have come and gone over the last ten years. Why, why do so many come and go? Let's look at you our customer who wants to purchase this product who do you trust to sell you the right product that will hold its value as well as hold up in your facility when your receive it. How do you know you will receive what you purchased for such a great price.
HealthLine is heavily involved in working these issues out we are not just interested in the sale of the product but where and how our industry is going to make the used fitness business one that will be here for ever as a trusted entity of the commercial fitness equipment business as a whole. Our History

HealthLine was started October, of 1986, as a distributor of high-end commercial fitness products for the Western United States. It was really the first of it's kind within the United States to cover that much territory on an exclusive basis using a number of the top name brand manufactures in the country, with names like Bodymasters, Tectrix, Quinton, Star Trac, Precor and other name products. This was formulated with some of the best and most well respected sales people in our industry. The combination of these products and sales, operation and administration staff developed by HealthLine set a standard for our entire industry for the distribution of commercial products in the continental United States that is still in practice today.
HealthLine devised a trade-in program that was very well organized to promote the sale of commercial products during this time period. This trade-in program provided the customer purchasing new products to have set residual values placed on its old products allowing them to trade it in . We also established a division for refurbishing , to bring in this product rebuild it and put it back on the market for resale. This had never been put into practice on an organized bases anywhere in the world with commercial Fitness products at that time. As with the success of the new commercial fitness product distribution nationally, HealthLine opened up an entire new way to provide people a better price on name brand product to facilities who couldn't purchase them before. The refurbishing of the trade-in and being resold by another arm of the same company was bold move by HealthLine and became another pioneering move that revolutionized the commercial fitness industry.

HealthLine realized that, in today's market, four out of five new fitness equipment sales require something to be removed from a facility in order to put something new in to the facility. Most new fitness equipment sales today are not into a brand new facility with no previous history being built from the ground up. The new fitness equipment sale today is also by an expansion of an old facility or moving into a bigger one or adding a few pieces replacing something because they feel it may be out dated and want a newer model. Here at HealthLine we began to realize that the refurbishing aspect of the industry was such a necessary element of new product sales that HealthLine put it's entire focus towards that aspect of our industry. We have gotten out of the commercial distribution business and put our complete focus on working only with the major manufactures in our business. We have setup organized trade-in programs with these companies through their sales staffs. We have gone into these companies held training seminars about how to take trades-ins setting up residual values on their products as well their competitors. This process helps the manufactures sale new products while providing their customers with and outlet for taking out the old product. By helping these companies like Life Fitness, Nautilus, Star Trac, Precor, Icarian, Bodymaster, etc setup viable organized trade-in programs brings in only top of the line brand name products to HealthLine that can be refurbished. This assures you our customer quality name products with quality parts and proper refurbishing by a professional trained staff. These companies are our references to why HealthLine is the oldest most well established company and on the cutting edge of vision to the future of the refurbishing business.
